LaToya Turner

Community Investment Associate


LaToya Turner is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in management roles within the retail and transportation industries. A graduate of the Broad School of Business at Michigan State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

Driven by a passion for community development in her hometown, LaToya returned to Lansing to make a meaningful local impact. As the Community Investment Associate at the Community Foundation, she plays a key role in the grant funding review process, ensuring nonprofits receive critical support to thrive.

LaToya also serves as the Youth Advisor for the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), guiding high school students in grantmaking decisions for the Foundation's Youth Endowment Fund. She enjoys mentoring these young philanthropists and helping them develop a strong sense of community responsibility.

In her role, LaToya coordinates community outreach efforts, organizing networking events that foster collaboration among nonprofit leaders. These gatherings create opportunities for organizations to share insights, build connections, and work collectively toward positive community change.
