MAPA Educational Development Scholarship Fund
Established in 1991 to assist the legal dependents of MAPA members' employees in pursuing a program of undergraduate education. Applicants may be enrolled in any course of study. Additional consideration may be extended to applicants enrolled in Business Administration and/or Automotive Aftermarket Technology.Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
-- Must be a legal dependent of a regular MAPA member or full-time employee.
-- Applicants must be enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate degree program at an accredited educational institution in the United States
-- Applicant's high school scholastic performance if an enrolling freshman, or the applicant's current undergraduate grade-point average
-- Applicant's exemplary qualities of leadership in school and in community
-- Applicant's essay
-- Scholarship recipients may reapply for a maximum of three additional years
Recipient selection and scholarship amounts will be determined after careful review by the MAPA Educational Development Scholarship Advisory Committee. This committee is comprised of five individuals: two representatives of the Capital Region Community Foundation and three educators.
